Agents working together
An agent in OAR does not have to work alone. With your permission it can start other sessions and hand them parts of its task, talk to a session on another of your relays, and watch sessions so that it is woken when one of them needs something. Added in 0.9.16 It can also have the relay send a prompt later, once or again and again, and keep it across restarts, and ask you a question without waiting for the answer.
All of it runs through one agent tool,
relay_. The pages here
explain the features from your side: how to switch them on, what you are asked
and what you see. The tool's page has the exact actions and limits.
- Agent sessionsLet an agent start and use other sessions on the same relay — switching it on, the approval card, the rules, and what you see.
- Remote relaysPair OAR relays so an agent on one can work on another — pairing, unlocking a relay with a mention, what agents may do there, the limits and what you see.
- Watching sessionsLet an agent watch other sessions and be woken when one asks a question, fails, replies or goes quiet — what wakes it, the approval card, pacing and lifetime.
- Scheduled promptsLet an agent have the relay send a prompt later, once or every N minutes, into its own conversation or another session, and keep it across restarts. The setting, the loop guard, what you see and when a schedule ends.
- Questions and the InboxLet an agent ask you a question and keep working while it waits — the ask card, your answer as a relay event, asking for another session, across paired relays, and the Inbox that lists every question waiting for you.
- Messages between agentsHow prompts that agents send each other look in a conversation, from the badge to the folded note row, and what the receiving agent sees.
